What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Technician position at Central Peninsula Hospital?
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the payables function of the department. Receives and reviews invoices from vendors, matches documents, routes invoices for approval by appropriate managers, reviews and verifies expense codes, posts transactions, and processes payments to vendors. Processes cash and checks for daily bank deposits. Performs other duties associated with accounts payable, including electronic banking functions, 1099 processing, and maintaining vendor files. Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/General Education Degree(GED).
- Two Years of Experience in a General Accounting Setting.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and mathematical skills involving debit and credit transactions.
- Ability to Operate computer, copy machine, fax, switchboard, calculator, credit card machine.
- Proficient with computer skills involving file types, importing/exporting/ downloading files, navigating windows explorer, and troubleshooting computer related issues.
PREFERRED:
- Associate's in Accounting or College Level Coursework in Accounting.
- 2 years of Experience in Accounting - Accounts Payable.
- Accounts Payable Certification
- Knowledge of computerized accounting systems.
