Studio Front Desk Supervisor – Central Park Dance
Full-Time Position
Central Park Dance, a high-volume and fast-paced dance studio offering children’s classes, adult dance & fitness programs, and multiple performance companies, is seeking a dynamic and organized Studio Manager. This role requires an energetic multitasker who thrives in a lively environment and can oversee the studio’s daily operations from top to bottom. Dance experience is strongly encouraged, whether as a dance instructor, a professional performer, a member of a semi-professional company or dance/fitness studio support staff. We are looking for a warm, proactive leader who can support our students, families, faculty, and staff with excellence.
Position Summary
The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for the smooth and efficient functioning of the "front of house" aspect of the studio. This includes providing exceptional customer service, managing email and phone message workflows, supporting faculty, maintaining facility flow, and helping uphold the high standard of professionalism and community that Central Park Dance is known for. The ideal candidate is adaptable, solution-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities with confidence.
Key ResponsibilitiesStudio Operations & Administration
- Oversee daily front-desk operations and ensure a welcoming, organized studio environment.
- Manage class schedules, room assignments, studio calendar, and communication across departments.
- Coordinate daily check-ins with front-desk team to ensure smooth class transitions and room flow.
- Support registration, enrollment, and policy inquiries.
- Maintain studio supplies, inventory, cleanliness, and general facility upkeep.
Customer Experience & Communication
- Serve as a primary point of in-person contact for parents, students, faculty, and adult clientele.
- Provide high-level customer service by addressing questions, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
- Communicate studio updates, policy reminders, schedule changes, and event information clearly and consistently.
- Represent Central Park Dance with warmth, professionalism, and a solutions-first mindset.
Faculty & Program Support
- Work closely with instructors to ensure attendance management, and studio standards.
- Help manage studio staffing needs, including substitute coverage and communication among faculty.
Event & Program Coordination
- Support planning and execution of studio events such as performances, showcases, auditions, and holiday programs.
- Assist with preparation for the annual Nutcracker, Spring Recital, and other studio productions.
Operational Excellence & Problem Solving
- Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
- Maintain an organized workflow that supports the studio’s high volume of daily classes and clients.
- Uphold studio policies and ensure a safe, supportive environment for students and families.
Qualifications
- Dance background strongly encouraged (teaching experience, professional or semi-professional performance experience or dance/fitness studio experience).
- Prior experience in studio oversight, arts administration, customer service, or hospitality preferred.
- Strong multitasking ability and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Warm, friendly demeanor with a professional presence.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time position with consistent weekly hours.
