Front Desk Associate
Central Park Dance is looking for a Front Desk Associate for our lively dance studio in Scarsdale, NY. Full or part-time position, one weekend day needed.

For part-time applicants, we are currently looking for candidates who are available to oversee our busiest times of the day into the evening. This would require availability from at least 2:30 / 3:00 PM to approximately 9:00 / 9:30 PM during the week. Weekend times are more flexible and start/end earlier in the day.
Dance experience is a plus!
Responsibilities:
Creates a welcoming environment by greeting guests, answering phone calls, directing visitors, and taking messages for employees
- Takes customer inquiries and passes them on to the appropriate parties
- Utilizes core skills in retail sales, customer service, and cash handling
- Fills in and organizes retail racks daily for the studio boutique
- Processes transactions
- Maintains cleanliness of studio/lobby/front desk spaces and enforces safety regulations
- Provides support for the artistic director and director of operations.
Must haves:
- Time management skills to be able to prioritize activities, especially when there is a high volume of tasks
- Applicants must be meticulous, thorough, and precise when addressing responsibilities
- Hospitality is at the core of this position, so the ability to make guests feel welcome and seen is a must
- A positive attitude for greeting customers and clients in a friendly and warm manner upon arrival at the office or through the phone
- Communication skills to be able to communicate with internal team members or clients and understand their needs
- Strong organizational skills
- Administrative skills to be able to use basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Flexibility to be able to move between activities and duties quickly if priorities change
- Customer service and retail sales skills
It will be a plus if you:
- Have strong sales skills and the ability to win people over
- Possess creative skills to create attractive, branded flyers and other artwork in Canva
- Have a keen eye for photography and videography, and could contribute to the library of images and videos for social media
