Job: Sales and Planning Customer Service Rep (Driver)
Location: Remote
Summary
The CSR is responsible for developing new business and growing existing business. They act as a liaison to arrange and complete freight shipments.
What does a normal day look like?
- Solicit and secure shipments from credit approved customers to fulfill the needs of our driving team
- Plan loads for drivers to maximize production of miles and get drivers home for personal needs
- Build relationships with customers and present rate quotes
- Coordinate and communicate all shipment details and schedules
- Coordinate all load and delivery tines for our driving team with customers
- Provide proactive and timely service to customers
- Input accurate customer load information into computer database
- Prepare, verify and process all required documentation
- Provide support and assistance to team members as necessary
- Fill in for drivers on routes when necessary, which includes
- Operate 18-wheel tractor and flat-bed or curtain-van trailer to safely and efficiently transport a variety of materials.
- Responsible for proper placement and securing of each commodity to prevent movement and allow for safe transportation of materials, including tarping when necessary.
- Responsible for daily completion of all required paperwork such as freight bills, load sheets, log books, DVIRs, etc.
- Responsible for performing pre-trip, inter-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and adjustments, preventative maintenance, tire chain-ups, brake adjustments and minor on-road repairs as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to safely utilize the available equipment, including but not limited to, ladders and fall arrest systems, within
- the equipment's standard capacities, including weight.
- Requires occasional maneuvering of:
- Chains – weighing up to 42 pounds
- Binders/Straps – weighing 8-10 pounds
- Tarps – weighing 70-125 pounds (these are NOT lifted manually – uses forklift to lift onto trailer)
- Must be able to throw straps over loads reaching 13 feet high and be able to winch straps/chains tight with up to 100 pounds of force
