The Outreach & Engagement Specialist supports student enrollment and persistence by executing proactive, coordinated outreach campaigns across phone, email, and text messaging. This role guides students through key milestones—including application, advising, and registration—by delivering timely, accurate, and student-centered communication aligned with the enrollment cycle.
Working collaboratively with enrollment teams, the Specialist ensures consistent messaging, supports campaign tracking and documentation, and provides frontline customer service. The position also offers functional supervision to student employees assisting with outreach efforts, helping maintain high-quality, responsive engagement with prospective and current students.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in communications, education, business, student services, or a related field
- One (1) year of experience in customer service, student services, call center, or outreach-focused work
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively via phone, email, and text
- Demonstrated ability to follow scripts, templates, and structured communication plans
- Experience using computer systems for data entry, tracking, and documentation (e.g., CRM or Student Information Systems)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing student-centered service
Bachelor’s degree in communications, education, marketing, public relations, or a related field
- Experience working in a higher education setting, particularly at a community college
- Experience supporting enrollment, admissions, advising, or student success initiatives
- Familiarity with Student Information Systems ( SIS ), CRM platforms, or text messaging outreach tools
- Experience executing communication or outreach campaigns (e.g., call campaigns, email marketing, text messaging)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze basic engagement data and identify trends
- Experience training, mentoring, or providing functional supervision to student employees or peers
