What are the responsibilities and job description for the GENERAL LABOR position at Central Ohio Farmers Co-op Inc?
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in housekeeping and maintenance of facility grounds
- Properly load/unload trucks
- Operate various equipment
- Perform minor maintenance and greasing of equipment
- Assist with cleaning of bins and silos
- Assist with outbound and inbound agronomy products (some locations)
- Ensure Safety compliance at all times.
- Document or log maintenance of any/all equipment
- Assist with measure and counting of inventory of dry and liquid fertilizers, NH3, lime, and chemicals.
- Provide courteous customer service.
- Operate all equipment & vehicles according to COFC policy and procedure along with all local, state, and federal laws.
- All other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Must have good attendance
- Must have a good attitude and encourage others to have a good attitude
- Must be safety minded and follow all safety rules provided by the Company, Local, State and Federal entities
- Must be able to meet and work with strict deadlines
- Must possess a strong attention to detail
- Must have good communication skills
- Initiative to work independently and also in a team environment
- Adaptable, self-starter, dependable
- Must be able to work outside in all weather
- Must have an acceptable motor vehicle record with no more than two (2) points on record.
- No DUI's or OVI's in the past five years
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
