POSITION TITLE: Welcome Center Enrollment Specialist
FLSA: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Welcome Center Supervisor
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve-month employment with benefits as specified in the Classified Agreement (could consider flexible schedule with 30-40 hour work week).
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Enrollment Specialist is a key member of the Welcome Center team, supporting families through the student enrollment process and providing an exceptional first experience with the district. This position assists new families in securing required information and records, answering questions, and ensuring accurate enrollment documentation.
The ideal candidate is energetic, friendly, detail-oriented, and customer-focused. This role also supports district staff and performs general clerical and data-entry duties. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and a commitment to excellent service are essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide a positive, professional, and welcoming experience to families and visitors
- Facilitate new student enrollment by collecting and verifying required information and documentation
- Maintain accurate student records across multiple software systems
- Respond to inquiries from parents, staff, and community members via phone, email, and in person
- Perform general office duties including data entry, scanning, filing, copying, and record management
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student and family information
- Attend meetings and training sessions as directed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, parents, staff, and the public
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Adobe products
- Ability to perform general office functions including copying, filing, and document management
