POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Specialist
FLSA: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Human Resources Director
Qualifications:
- Bachelors preferred.
- Must have 3 years of experience with strong interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills,
- Must be proficient in working with various technologies to develop and maintain forms and data.
General Responsibilities:
- The Human Resources Specialist will maintain, implement and administer the human resources online management system.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Manage and ensure the functionality of the human resources online management system
- Train staff and administrators on the human resources online management system
- Manage data and prepare reports for state, federal and local submissions
- Approve certification for certificated staff on the Missouri Educators System
- Approve jobs opportunities and post on internet and recruitment sites
- Process background checks
- Assign and process onboarding/offboarding forms
- Create and maintain work records
- Submit and approve background checks and I-9 documentation for employment
- Issue and monitor contracts/memorandums
- Maintain the Human Resource department website
- Assist prospective candidates with applications
- Provide customer service for the Human Resource Department
- Act as custodian of archived personnel files
- Perform other duties as assigned
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and movement around the instructional area.
