Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Salary: Based on the System Salary Schedule
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher in Occupational Therapy Assistant Program from an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) or the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (AOTE) certified school.
- Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure with North Carolina State Board of Occupational Therapy
Purpose of Job
Provide occupational therapy services to children in the school setting under the direction of a licensed occupational therapist (OTR/L).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- ? Provide occupational therapy services to students by direct or consultation to address range or motion, sensory strategies and techniques, fine and gross motor activities as related to IEP goals under the supervision of an OTR.

- ? Consult and collaborate with teachers and teams by suggesting ideas for
