What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teachers position at Central Office?

We believe our substitute teachers are critical for the continuance of the learning process when our classroom teachers are absent. Whether substitute teachers are giving direct instruction, monitoring students or assisting staff, they ensure the day is purposeful and productive.
Education: According to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, substitute teachers must have at least 60 college credit hours to qualify for a substitute certificate.
Certification: A Missouri Teaching Certificate or eligibility for a teaching certificate is required.
Must be eligible for a substitute certificate.
Experience: Preferred.
Benefits: Not Eligible.
FLSA Status: Exempt, Professional Exemption-Teacher.
Compensation:
- Daily Rate= $155/day. Missouri Substitute Certificate Required.
- Long-Term(extended leave 15 days) = $190/day
- Permanent Sub= $190/day
- Permanent Substitute:(Commitment to a minimum of 4 days a week) and a Missouri teaching certification.
