Job Description
TITLE: Central Office Receptionist
REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Office
JOB GOAL: To provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders of the school district.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:.
- Demonstrates effectively interpersonal relationship skills by greeting all visitors courteously and attempts to meet their needs to the best of his/her ability.
- Answers phone calls in a pleasant, informed manner for the purpose of providing information and creating a good image of the district
- Manages telephone message system (office hours, inclement weather and other recorded messages) Keep daily log of attendance for central office staff
- Responds to inquiries for the purpose of referrals and directions as may be required
- Forwards requests for information and messages to the appropriate individuals
- Maintains office meeting calendar; schedules and meetings held within the Central Office
- Distribute the Communicator to all schools and departments
- Meter mail going out from schools Unload and load mail bags from schools
- Process mail received from the post office
- Bulk mail for all schools
- Process packages going to UPS, United States Postal Service, and Fedex
- Requisition meter machine
- Order supplies for meter machine
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Receptionist experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma and any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints. Demonstrates effective communication skills by speaking clearly and expressing ideas logically and giving clear, explicit explanations. Uses written communication appropriately and professionally.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, bend and sometime lift up to 25 pounds. Mobility skills are necessary to access a variety of work locations.
OTHER SKILLS: Must keep accurate and up-to-date records. Possess a professional disposition
