What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASPIRING ADMINISTRATOR position at Central Office?
OPEN POSITION: R-III Aspiring Administrator
START DATE: 2025/2026 School Year
PRIMARY FUNCTION: A program designed to provide meaningful professional development and hands-on administrative/teacher leader experience under the guidance of practicing administrators/teacher leaders for individuals interested in pursuing educational leadership experience. Your commitment to the R-III Aspire Program and to our District is valued and appreciated. We wish you continued success as you pursue your goal to become a future instructional leader in the Lincoln County R-III School District. Currently, being a participant in the R-III Aspire Program is NOT an eligibility requirement for consideration as a District administrator/teacher leader position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in major area of study
- Administrative Missouri Certificate held or eligible, preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills
PARTICIPANTS WILL:
- Attend all monthly meetings, prepared to learn and engage in dialogue.
- Arrange approved shadowing with building principal.
- Participants are required to complete up to 18 hours of shadowing with a building principal
- Attend one (1) Board of Education meeting
- Complete an approved administrative project
- Projects may be building/district related and completed in conjunction with his/her building principal/district administrator.
- Participate in Adaptive Schools Training
