Technology Technician ll
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Non Exempt; 8 hours per day; Full-Time
SALARY: Salary Scale 10; Based on Qualification and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Minimum High School diploma. An associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: One year of experience repairing and maintaining technology-related equipment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Technical Proficiency:
-Strong knowledge of computers, operating systems (Windows, Chrome OS, iOS), and related technologies.
-General understanding of local area network (LAN) components and architecture.
-Ability to systematically troubleshoot hardware, software, and system-related issues.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on providing positive support for students and staff.
DUTIES:
• Organizational Leadership: Serves as a team player and role model for other employees; demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement and exhibits organizational core values.
• Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support for school technology such as desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, printers, projectors, phones and interactive TVs.
• Infrastructure Assistance: Assists with the configuration and installation of network equipment such as cabling, switches, access points, and other related peripherals.
• Maintenance & Repair: Repair, maintain, upgrade, and install technology equipment.
• Field Operations: Travel between school sites to provide on-site support, with additional phone support when necessary.
• Systems Management: Manage and maintain technology systems, applications, and hardware to ensure operational readiness.
• Asset Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of parts, equipment, and devices.
• Project Management: Utilize a work-order tracking system for routine repair and maintenance of equipment and to document task completion.
• General Responsibility: Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.
