Title: CMCC - Admissions Specialist (Internal Posting)
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Admin Unit as a Level 2.
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, however, other duties may be assigned.
- Recruiting. Maintaining office hours for walk-in traffic or by appointment. Provide program information and advising to applicants/prospective students. Visit high schools, CTEs, and adult-ed centers presenting the college to these groups. Attending college fairs throughout New England.
- Coordinate the college fair schedule to include event registration, tracking event feedback, and recommending staff assignment for each event.
- Review applicant accounts for completeness, course placements, and follow-up activity.
- Provide data entry and clerical support activities as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid State of Maine Driver’s License and own transportation
- Associate Degree and one year of experience in college admissions
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively before large and small groups
- Demonstrated knowledge of a wide variety of career fields, job trends and opportunities
- Computer Skills qualified
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree with relevant work experience at a higher educational institution.
