Shift - 4:30am to 1:30pm


The Receptionist's job is to answer the telephone and greet visitors in a professional and courteous manner.  Performs general office activities to provide clerical and administrative support for the facility.
Reports To:  Patient Access Director
Classification: Non-Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS
 High School diploma or GED required.  Two years clerical experience in medical facility or office preferred.  Computer experience required with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.  Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to speak effectively to internal and external customers required.  Ability to speak English language required. 
Position requires attendance for facility opening beginning at 5am or earlier.                                             
OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE
Category III, office environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Performs reception and telephone operator activities for effective communication with all areas of the facility.
  2. Performs administrative functions.
  3. Screens phone calls, redirects calls, directs complaints to proper channels, and completes special assignments.
  4. Collect, sort, distribute and prepare mail, messages and courier deliveries.
  5. Performs other office, secretarial, and clerical duties as assigned. 
  6. Stick Charts      
  7. Participates in cross-training as needed within Admissions Department.
  8. Comply with facility Standards of Behavior and complete all required education assignments within the designated timeline.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  3. The employee must be able to lift and/or carry over 20 pounds on a regular basis and push/pull over 300 pounds with assistance of at least one coworker, on a regular basis.
  4. The employee must be able to stand and/or walk at least two hours per day.
