Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Criminal history clearance.
- Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and tools used in the routine cleaning of school buildings and for maintaining district grounds.
- Knowledge of tools, materials, working practices and methods of the building trades; materials, equipment, working procedure and methods required in a school district building maintenance program, and in the repair and minor construction of school facilities.
- Ability to perform manual labor and work out-of-doors in all seasons as required.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and maintain and build positive relationships with students and other staff.
- Knowledge of computer usage for emails and to access a work order system. 8. Ability to read and understand chemical labels/MSDS sheets.
- Ability to work directly with students when appropriate.
- Possess or be willing to obtain an appropriate chemical applicator’s license issued by the State of Oregon.
- Possess Oregon driver’s license issued by State Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relations with students, supervisors, school administrators, contractors, and others contacted in the course of the work.
- Maintain confidentiality in all phases of work, i.e., records, meetings, parents' rights, etc.
- Maintain First Aid/CPR Certification.
