As Financial Controller, you’ll lead CLE’s financial operations and play a key role in driving business performance. You’ll oversee accounting, payroll, and financial planning functions, ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls, and partner with leadership to support strategic growth. This is a high-impact role ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented leader with experience in the electrical, construction, or contracting industries.
- Lead and mentor the finance team (AP, AR, payroll) with a focus on accuracy and accountability
- Oversee job costing, general ledger, and daily financial operations
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports
- Drive financial planning & analysis (FP&A) to support strategic decisions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax laws, and internal policies
- Strengthen internal controls and streamline financial processes
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and job profitability
- Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and insurers
- Identify and implement process improvements and financial system enhancements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 5–7 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in electrical, construction, or field services
- Deep knowledge of AP, AR, payroll, FP&A, and general accounting principles
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate cross-functionally
- Experience with job costing and project-based financial management is a plus
