Recycling Worker

Duties

• Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks to sort, load, and transport recyclable materials.
• Manage the movement of materials within the facility to ensure smooth processing and prevent congestion.
• Conduct routine cleaning of work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Assist with the collection of recyclable waste from designated areas using appropriate equipment.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to handle bulky or dense recyclable items.
• Support sanitation efforts by ensuring waste is properly sorted and disposed of according to environmental standards.
• Conduct safety inspections on equipment before use and report any maintenance needs promptly.

Skills

• Proficiency in heavy equipment operation including loaders, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks.
• Experience with manufacturing or waste management environments is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation practices related to recycling facilities.
• Excellent attention to detail when sorting recyclables and maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills for teamwork and safety procedures adherence.

Pay: $8.00 - $10.00 per hour
