What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Social Worker position at Central Intermediate Unit 10?
The Central Intermediate Unit 10 is a premiere educational service agency in Central Pennsylvania looking for a full-time School Social Worker. A Social Worker License and School Social Worker Educational Specialist Certificate is required. The position is located in Centre County and based on a grant for the 2025 - 2026 school year.
Job Responsibilities may include:
- Work with students personal and psychological issues that affect their school performance, attendance, behavior, and socialization
- Participate in the identification and intervention of pre-school through secondary age students whose capacity to learn or to have a positive educational experience is significantly hindered by the presence of emotional and behavioral problems requiring multidisciplinary interventions.
- Work with the student and/or family in collaborative consultation with all school agency personnel to be directed toward the access of and benefit from the student's educational program.
- Participate as needed in the Instructional Support and Student Assistance Team meetings within school districts; participate and have input into the Multidisciplinary Evaluation process, and participate in the development and implementation of individual Education Plan students identified in need of social work services.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.
