Central Garden & Pet is seeking a Quality & General HR Assistant to support our Chilton, WI business unit (Kaytee). This role combines document control coordination with the Quality department and general administration tasks within Human Resources. The primary responsibilities include maintaining document control records and ensuring their accuracy, as well as performing general administrative duties such as maintaining records on Dayforce, coordinating office supplies, mail, deliveries, project work, and ad hoc requests across the business unit. Close collaboration with internal cross-functional teams including Quality, HR, R&D, Operations, and Master Data ensures timely project execution and completion.

Close collaboration with internal cross-functional teams including Quality, HR, R&D, Operations, and Master Data ensures timely project execution and completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage Document Control of Quality practices and programs by preparation/review/approval/distribution of Quality documents.
- Responsible for maintaining and ensuring the accuracy, quality, integrity, and flow of Quality documents, records, department records, and other resource materials.
- Organizes and ensures accurate and reliable filing systems for all electronic and paper-based Quality documentation.
- Ensures adherence to record retention policies as well as safeguarding of information and data retrieval.
- Maintains Quality training records and logs of activities and work completed. Adheres to organizational processes to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Prepare, receive, sort, and distribute incoming/outgoing mail and packages.
- Sort Office Depot orders and route items to appropriate departments.
- Order supplies as needed for supply cabinets or as requested by individuals.
- Maintain Dayforce setup/termination of temporary employees and weekly temp reporting.
- Create new hire binders, fobs, and other onboarding materials.
- Receive in SAP and file all Goods Received for orders received.
- Responsible for reporting any Food Safety issues to authorized personnel for correction.
- Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Experience working in an office environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in leveraging knowledge of cross-functional teams.
- Ability to deal effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people and situations.
- Strong organizational and time management/prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication skills; written, oral, and formal presentation.
- Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.
- Self-motivator able to deliver satisfactory work under limited supervision.
