Kaytee (Central Garden & Pet) is currently looking to fill 2nd shift Class 4 Fiesta Mixer- Level I at Kaytee in Chilton, WI You would be responsible for setting up and running machines, palletizers, and scales. This position is for four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday; enjoy a long weekend every week!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately mix ingredients according to specific formulas and delivering these mixes to the proper packaging bins.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of each mix through visual checks and quality assurance processes.
• Schedule and plan mixing operations to align with the production schedule.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication between Line Leaders, Mill Operators, and Shift Supervisor.
• Record all inventory transactions accurately using RF scanner functions and proper documentation.
• Maintain work area in a clean and organized, and compliant with safety and quality standards.
• Understand and know the goals and objectives of the department.
• Comply with all safety rules and company policies.
• Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Responsible for reporting any Food Safety issues to authorized personnel for correction.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with frequent bending, lifting and twisting.
• Proficient math skills required.
• Ability to operate forklift and handcart in a safe manner.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to operate an RF scanner device.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally (with assistance).
• Capable to bend, twist, turn and climb as needed.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is performed in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Work temperatures can vary due to outside temperatures.
• Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours (on each respective shift) and average at least 40 hours a week.
• There may be some variation in work hours due to overtime, special projects, deadlines, and other concerns.
