Role Description
This is a full-time Surgical Dental Assistant position based on-site at our location in Winter Park, FL. The Surgical Dental Assistant will support the dentist in preparing for procedures, providing chairside assistance during oral surgeries, and ensuring that instruments and equipment are properly sterilized. Responsibilities will include taking patient medical histories, maintaining a high level of infection control, providing post-operative care instructions, and contributing to a comfortable and efficient patient experience.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Dental Care and Dentistry to assist in procedures and provide patient care
- Knowledge and skills in Oral Surgery and surgical assistance practices
- Experience with proper Infection Control protocols and sterilization techniques
- Strong focus on Patient Care and effective communication skills
- Certification as a Dental Assistant and/or relevant training and experience
- CPR certification and familiarity with OSHA and HIPAA regulations are a plus
