About the Role
Central Florida Dreamplex is seeking a passionate and driven Recreational Therapy Director / Adaptive Sports Coordinator to lead and grow our adaptive sports and recreational programming. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities through inclusive fitness and sports opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage adaptive sports and recreational therapy programs
- Coordinate a variety of sports including wheelchair basketball, tennis, volleyball, sled hockey, and more
- Develop seasonal schedules and organize monthly sports clinics and events
- Collaborate with coaches, instructors, and volunteers
- Build strong relationships with community partners and sponsors
- Support participant engagement, registration, and program success
- Work closely with marketing to promote programs and events
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, interns, and volunteers
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Passion for adaptive sports and community engagement
