What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Delivery Helper position at Central Distributors?
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Delivery Helper to support our delivery drivers in distributing beer, wine, and other beverage products to a variety of customers including convenience stores, specialty retailers, supermarkets, bars, and restaurants. This position plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries across established routes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist drivers with the delivery of beverage products to designated accounts.
- Load and unload products using hand trucks and pallet jacks.
- Transport kegs, cases, and other items into customer locations, which may include navigating stairs and tight spaces.
- Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service at all times.
- Ensure accuracy of delivered items and handle products with care.
Schedule:
- Shift begins between 4am-7am depending on route/volume; full-time availability required.
- Monday-Friday
- This position will run until October with a possibility of full time hire.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy items repeatedly throughout the day (including full beer kegs).
- Comfortable using hand carts to transport products up and down stairs multiple times per day.
Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Punctual, reliable, and committed to safety and customer satisfaction.
- Prior warehouse or delivery experience is a plus, but not required.
Supervision:
Reports to the Driver Supervisor and Warehouse Manager.
