Responsible to the Athletics Director for driving the college bus to transport athletes/students on various trips.

Serve As College Bus Driver For Various Purposes Including
- Transporting students to athletic events, to and from airport, train and/or bus station, etc.
- Follow the time schedule assigned by the Central College Athletics Department or the activity sponsor.
- Exhibit sound judgment in following safe driving standards; monitor vehicle operation safety (i.e. tire pressure, brakes, lights, wipers, oil and fuel levels, etc.).
- Serve as a role model for the mission of Central College. Must enjoy being around people and have a willingness to accommodate a wide constituent pool as the position may require driving board members and college guests in addition to students.
- High School graduate or GED and 2 years’ experience as a driver
- CDL with Passenger Endorsement is Required
- Medical Certificate (in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations)
- Confirmed negative pre-employment drug test
- Must have a safe driving record
- Good knowledge of Iowa Driver’s Manual and DOT’s A Motor Carrier’s Guide to Improving Highway Safety
- Ability to communicate effectively and exercise good human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with the college community
- Compliance with all applicable DOT regulations, including submission to drug and alcohol testing
- Candidates are also subject to a background investigation
- Must be willing and available for evening and weekend work
