JOB SUMMARY
The K–5 Principal of Central College Christian School (CCCS) provides Christ-centered educational leadership that advances the mission and vision of Central College Presbyterian Church (CCPC). As the instructional leader of the elementary program, the Principal cultivates academic excellence, spiritual development, and a nurturing learning environment where students thrive. This role requires a deep love for children, a commitment to Christian education, and active participation in the life of CCPC.
PURPOSE
To advance the mission of CCPC and CCCS through strong, visionary, and Christ-centered leadership of the CCCS K–5 program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Instructional & Educational Leadership
● Serve as the primary instructional leader for the K–5 program.
● Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instructional practices aligned with Ohio Learning Standards and Christian values.
● Promote continuous improvement through data-informed decision making and ongoing program evaluation.
● Ensure compliance with relevant accreditation standards and state requirements.
School Culture & Student Development
● Foster a Christ-centered school culture that supports academic growth, character development, and positive student behavior.
● Establish and uphold expectations for student conduct consistent with Christian principles.
● Support co-curricular and extracurricular programs that enrich student learning and community engagement.
Staff Leadership & Development
● Lead, supervise, evaluate, and mentor faculty and staff to ensure instructional excellence and professional growth.
● Oversee hiring, onboarding, evaluation, and professional development of K–5 personnel.
● Cultivate a collaborative, supportive, and mission-driven staff culture.
Operational & Organizational Leadership
● Oversee day-to-day operations of the K–5 program.
● Manage the K–5 budget and resources responsibly in alignment with church and school procedures.
● Oversee K–5 technology utilization.
● Maintain facilities, equipment, and inventory in collaboration with church leadership.
● Work collaboratively with the Preschool Director and CCCP staff.
Community & Church Engagement
● Partner with church leadership and parents to strengthen the school community.
● Support enrollment growth and community relationships that advance the school’s mission.
● Serve on the CCPC Senior Leadership Team and participate actively in church and school decision-making.
