We are seeking a caring and dependable Early Education Teacher to join our Early Learning team for the 2026–2027 school year, serving students ages 3–5 years old.
Position Summary
The Early Education Teacher is responsible for providing Christ-centered instruction and care that supports the developmental needs of young children. Teachers create a structured and nurturing classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development, early academic readiness, and Christian character formation.
This position works closely with the Early Education team to ensure a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool-aged students.

Core Responsibilities
Instruction & Classroom Environment
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities- Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Support social-emotional growth and positive behavior development
- Encourage curiosity, creativity, and foundational learning skills
Student Care & Supervision
Maintain active supervision of students at all times- Support daily classroom routines including transitions, activities, and play
- Ensure classroom safety and organization
Communication & Collaboration
Maintain regular communication with families regarding student care and progress- Collaborate with Early Education team members and administration
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, chapel, and school events
Licensing & Compliance
Maintain compliance with Oregon Early Learning Division (OELD) licensing requirements- Follow classroom ratios and supervision expectations
- Complete required documentation, logs, and certifications
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree or higher (required for teaching positions at Central Christian School)- Ability to support the mission and values of Central Christian School
- Experience working with young children ages 3–5
- Must meet Oregon Early Learning Division (OELD) Teacher qualification requirements for licensed early learning programs
Preferred
Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field- Previous experience in a preschool or licensed childcare setting
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of early childhood development and kindergarten readiness skills
Licensing & Compliance
- Maintain compliance with Oregon Early Learning Division (OELD) licensing requirements, including teacher qualifications, ratios, supervision standards, and required documentation.
Work Schedule & Environment
This is a full-time position within the Early Education program. Teachers are expected to remain on campus for their full scheduled workday and maintain compliance with licensing supervision requirements.
This role involves classroom instruction, student supervision, and active engagement with preschool-aged children throughout the day.
