Central Catholic High School is seeking a Varsity Girls Tennis Coach for the Spring Season.
The Head Varsity Boys Soccer Coach is responsible for leading the boys soccer program, overseeing all aspects of coaching, team culture, player development and performance as well as program sustainability.
The coach oversees and collaborates with assistant varsity coaches and junior varsity coaches to ensure growth and alignment throughout the boys’ soccer program.
The coach, in alignment with the CCHS mission, will foster athletic development within the personal growth of all student-athletes while promoting sportsmanship and emphasizing academic growth and success.
Reports to the Director of Athletics & Activities.
Qualifications
- Soccer playing and/or coaching experience at the high school level or higher is required.
- Candidates must possess of knowledge of soccer fundamentals, tactics and current training methods.
- Candidates must possess the ability to teach, mentor and develop high school student-athletes.
- Candidates must possess or complete all required coaching certifications of the MIAA and CCHS.
- Available to work irregular hours/non-traditional schedule. Practices and games are typically late afternoon and evening with occasional weekend events.
- Display flexibility, reliability, self-discipline, and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
- Pass all state background check requirements and maintain a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit school employment.
- Manage the development, execution, and advancement of the CCHS Boys’ Soccer program activities which include, but are not limited to scheduling contests, practices, evaluating players and selecting teams.
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of current Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association and Merrimack Valley Conference Constitution, Bylaws and Sports Regulations.
- Embody high ethical standards/integrity and professionalism, maintain confidentiality, and accept personal responsibility for decisions/conduct.
- Exhibit effective time management and resourceful problem-solving skills.
- Provide direction, support, and accountability to help students benefit from program participation.
- Maintain open/effective communication with student-athletes, families and school administration.
- Take precautions to ensure safety. Initiates action to manage/eliminate risks.
- Perform other specific job-related duties as directed.
The Varsity Head Coach, with the Director of Athletics & Activities, will appoint and assign assistant coaches and coaches for sub-varsity teams (if applicable). The Varsity Head Coach will supervise, evaluate, and develop the coaches within the respective program.
Compensation
Compensation tarts at $5,700 but may increase based on experience while aligning with the CCHS Coaches Stipend Scale.
