Job Responsibilities

Provides leadership and guidance for shaping strategic department goals and processes. Establishes goals, objectives, and benchmarks for processes and services. Conducts assessment of processes and services; makes data-informed decisions for long-range planning; and ensures policies and procedures comply with federal and state regulations to include FERPA. Serves as technical expert for Banner and Degree Works for the Student Affairs Division and serves on Data Team. Manages processes in Banner to include beginning and end of term processing, roster verification, grade reporting functions, transfer catalog and credit awarding, and awarding of academic credentials. Oversees data contained in the student module of Banner ensuring data accuracy, security of student records, and development of relevant reports. Works closely with ILT to complete Banner upgrades and testing. Ensures reporting to Clearinghouse and other external agencies is completed accurately and timely. Ensures access to and release of student records information follows guidelines set by US Department of Education. Provides training for college employees on FERPA to ensure confidentiality of records. Updates information in publications, myCCTC and the website. Oversees training on archiving student records. Provides oversight for testing services. Assists Testing Coordinator with exam implementation, services, and assessment of services. Ensures proper management and storage of testing records at all testing locations.


Minimum and Additional Requirements

A master’s degree and experience in student services programs.
