What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Assistant - Educational Services Center (Full-time w/benefits 12 month) position at Central Bucks School District?
- Duties include; Answering and transferring phone calls to the appropriate department, opening and sorting, and distributing incoming mail and interoffice communications.
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
- Computer data entry and use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Maintenance of office filing systems.
- Assist Supervisor of Student Services and Health Services.
- Support Social Workers, School Counselors and Nurses.
- Budget management, ordering supplies, and reimbursements.
- Organizing Professional Development meetings.

- All CBSD employees are Mandated Reporters under the terms of the PA Child Protective Services Law (CPSL), Section 6311. Employees are responsible for reviewing information at: Report Child Abuse or Neglect as a Mandated Reporter | Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

- Education - High School diploma required; secretarial experience preferred.

DESCRIPTION:
General Assistant duties include greeting and assisting visitors; receiving, screening and referring telephone calls; maintaining front desk coverage calendar. Assists other departments with various projects.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of standard office practices and equipment, MS Office skills, database, SIS skills. Ability to work autonomously, be detailed-oriented, and have highly developed organizational skills. Must present a professional attitude when dealing with staff and the public. Good telephone manners and customer service skills are required. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
