    COMPENSATION:
    $35.00 p/hour( Applicable OT rate may apply if worked over 40 hours p/ week)

    DESCRIPTION:
    The Event Security Support Officer provides event-based security support at Central Bucks School District campuses, primarily during school-sponsored athletic events, performances, and other extracurricular activities. This role ensures a safe and orderly environment for students, staff, and guests by maintaining a visible presence and responding to safety concerns as needed. This is a per diem position, scheduled based on district needs and event coverage requirements.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Maintain a professional and visible presence to deter disruptive behavior and promote safety.
    • Monitor entrances, exits, and event areas to ensure crowd control and proper access.
    • Respond to incidents or emergencies in accordance with district protocols; administer basic first aid or CPR if certified.
    • Report safety concerns, violations, or suspicious activity to event supervisors or law enforcement as appropriate.
    • Interact respectfully with students, staff, and visitors to foster a welcoming and secure atmosphere.
    • Assist with directing attendees, enforcing district policies, and supporting event logistics as needed.
    • Complete incident reports when necessary, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support event safety and security.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or emergency services preferred.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm and authoritative in high-traffic or emergency situations.
    • CPR and First Aid certification preferred; must be willing to obtain if not current.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
    • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with students, staff, and event attendees.
    • Capable of following written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
    • Demonstrates sound judgment, organizational awareness, and the ability to prioritize tasks during high-traffic events.
    • Communicates clearly and effectively, especially in situations requiring calm and confident responses.
    • Maintains a professional demeanor while enforcing district policies and responding to safety concerns.
    Physical Demands
    • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
    • Requires manual dexterity and the ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
    • Must be able to speak clearly and audibly to convey information in both routine and emergency situations.
    • Visual acuity necessary to monitor crowd movement and identify potential safety issues.
    • Duties may include sitting, standing, bending, reaching, walking, talking, hearing, climbing stairs, and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
    • In rare emergency situations, may be required to run, ascend or descend stairs quickly, or assist in physical intervention.
