- Maintain a professional and visible presence to deter disruptive behavior and promote safety.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and event areas to ensure crowd control and proper access.
- Respond to incidents or emergencies in accordance with district protocols; administer basic first aid or CPR if certified.
- Report safety concerns, violations, or suspicious activity to event supervisors or law enforcement as appropriate.
- Interact respectfully with students, staff, and visitors to foster a welcoming and secure atmosphere.
- Assist with directing attendees, enforcing district policies, and supporting event logistics as needed.
- Complete incident reports when necessary, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support event safety and security.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or emergency services preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm and authoritative in high-traffic or emergency situations.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred; must be willing to obtain if not current.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
- Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with students, staff, and event attendees.
- Capable of following written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, organizational awareness, and the ability to prioritize tasks during high-traffic events.
- Communicates clearly and effectively, especially in situations requiring calm and confident responses.
- Maintains a professional demeanor while enforcing district policies and responding to safety concerns.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

- Duties may include sitting, standing, bending, reaching, walking, talking, hearing, climbing stairs, and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
- In rare emergency situations, may be required to run, ascend or descend stairs quickly, or assist in physical intervention.

The Event Security Support Officer provides event-based security support at Central Bucks School District campuses, primarily during school-sponsored athletic events, performances, and other extracurricular activities. This role ensures a safe and orderly environment for students, staff, and guests by maintaining a visible presence and responding to safety concerns as needed. This is a per diem position, scheduled based on district needs and event coverage requirements.
