Role Description The Medical Office Receptionist-Permanent role is a full-time, on-site position located in both Doylestown and Jamison PA. The receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients, greeting visitors, answering phones, and directing inquiries in a professional and welcoming manner. Day-to-day responsibilities include scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying patient information, collecting co-pays, and coordinating check-in and check-out procedures. The role also involves managing insurance verification, updating electronic records, handling incoming and outgoing communications, and supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed. This position requires consistent attention to detail, confidentiality, and a strong commitment to patient service in a busy medical office environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Phone Etiquette and interpersonal skills for greeting patients and managing incoming calls.
- Proficiency in Appointment Scheduling and calendar management within a medical office setting.
- Experience with general Receptionist Duties, including check-in, check-out, and front desk operations.
- Familiarity with Medical Office workflows, electronic health records, and patient documentation.
- Ability to perform Insurance Verification, collect co-pays, and manage basic billing-related information.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework or certification in medical office administration is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to accuracy, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Respect for patient confidentiality and adherence to privacy and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
- Previous experience in a healthcare reception or medical office role preferred but not required.
