Sr. Operations Specialist
SUMMARY: The Senior Operations Specialist supports back-office deposit and payment operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include exception processing, ACH and wire transfers, dispute resolution, fraud monitoring, GL reconciliations, and digital banking administration. This role also supports CIP compliance, IRA servicing, and legal processing while serving as a resource for internal teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer all back-office deposit processes, including item processing, debit cards, digital banking and cash management support, CIP oversight, IRA administration, research and adjustment services, deposit account collections and legal processing.
- Perform exception item processing, including returns, chargebacks, adjustments, NSF decisions and un-posted items.
- Process and verify domestic and international wire transfers to ensure accurate and timely fund movement.
- Manage dispute processing for debit card, ACH, and check transactions in compliance with regulatory requirements including Reg E, NACHA rules, and UCC guidelines.
- Complete daily balancing and general ledger reconciliations related to deposit and payment activity.
- Assist with implementation, onboarding, and maintenance of treasury and cash management services for business clients.
- Respond to inbound client inquiries via phone, email, and digital banking messages in a professional and timely manner.
- Serve as a subject matter resource to department staff and internal business partners.
- Cross-train and provide guidance to team members as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of three (3) years of banking operations experience strongly preferred.
- Industry certifications (AAP, NCP, or similar) preferred but not required.
- Prior treasury or cash management experience a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Requires use of critical thinking, logic, and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Working knowledge of administrative and clerical systems, including documenting processes and procedures.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
