What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deposit Operations Specialist III position at Central Bank Illinois?
FUNCTION OF JOB:
The Deposit Operations Specialist III is responsible for reconciling and second check of numerous accounts while providing support to Deposit Operations Specialist I and II. There is a wide variety of duties listed, which will cross over with the Deposit Operations Specialist II duties due to the large volume of items to be processed in these areas. This position will perform these duties on a daily basis to keep the department running efficiently.
This position will also perform a variety of functions to assist when staff is absent or high-volume periods. This position will require an attention to detail, good organizational skills.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for 2nd review GL accounts daily. Assist with finding and correcting offages.
- Responsible for verifying documentation and perform maintenance for core changes ofaccount updates and modifications; customer information updates. Set exceptions inAurora Document Imaging for incomplete/inaccurate/pending account change requests
- Responsible for the Qualifile/Bizcheck workflow.
- Responsible to monitor Closed Account reports. Update Core system as appropriate for Overdraft Privilege, Internet Banking and Account Transfers. Notify other departments of closed accounts that may affect loan transfers, lock box transfers, Classic Club membership, E-banking. Update customer files accordingly.
- Responsible for updating/maintaining spreadsheets of waived and refunds of ServiceCharge fees. Provide report to Deposit Department leads for review.
- Responsible for uploading issued official checks into positive pay system and reviewing presented checks for authenticity. Returning when necessary.
- Responsible for new money report.
- Assist in ACH Returns, for Written Statement of Unauthorized Electronic ACH’s
- Assist in the process check adjustments to Fed or QCBT. Notify QCBT reconciler of these adjustments for balancing purposes.
- Assist in the monthly dormant process.
- Assists with indexing new scans, direct items into the appropriate workflow to facilitate the movement of electronic documents for proper processing in addition to indexing old items, corrections and 2nd indexing in Aurora Document. Assist Operational Bookkeeper with external funding systems (CDARS, ICS, DDM & Market CDs), research and otherprojects.
- Assist with gathering and organizing requested Audit items.
- Cross train and perform backup for various deposit operations duties as needed
- Assists in-house, telephone and internet banking customers with check reconcilement, check lookups/research and other minor problems or questions.
- Assists the Deposit Operations Officer, Supervisors & Operational Bookkeeper and in allother areas as requested.

- Ability to operate a personal computer and familiar with operating in programs such as Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.

- Position requires over 12 months and through 2 full years of employment with the bank or with companies in related positions (Over 1-2 years).
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
