Job Overview
Assumes overall control of daily retail deposit operations, in coordination with the Lead Bankers for Geneseo & Andover locations. Responsible for guiding and advising the Lead Bankers, Personal Bankers and Tellers in the efficient handling of deposit services and customer needs. Provides knowledge and guidance to frontline staff. Includes the coordination of new hire and existing staff training. Acts to bridge frontline with back office, assuring smooth, efficient processing. Assist Deposit Operations Department in designing and implementing new products, processes and procedures. Responsible for overdraft decisioning.
1. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and/or provide for new hire and ongoing training of Lead Bankers, Personal Bankers and Tellers for Fulton market locations.
- Makes recommendations for salary increases of Lead Bankers to VP Operations Officer.
- Interviews and selects applicants for employment in conjunction with the Human Resource Officer and/or Lead Bankers and/or VP Operations Officer.
- Administers and/ or assists with disciplinary or corrective actions, as warranted.
- Includes regular coaching and one-on-one meetings to ensure adherence to branch goals and customer service standards.
- Regular huddles with branch staff
2. Business Development:
- Promote and cross-sell all bank products and services, working with new & existing customers on higher level account needs. Initiates customer contact to maintain and grow relationships.
- Make referrals to appropriate departments for additional needs identified.
- Market representative for Deposit Placement Services offered. (CDARS, ICS & DDM)
- Assist Lead Bankers in Business Development efforts.
- Oversee on boarding program for all supervised staff, to assure processes are being completed in timely, relevant manner.
- Actively pursue new business prospects by making personal contacts with prospective customers, centers of influence to promote bank services. This may include becoming involved in Community committees and events to ensure a Central Bank Illinois market presence.
3. Responsible for the bank safe deposit processing. Including billing, printing reports, daily maintenance duties. Acts as a resource to all branches in this area.
4. In coordination with the VP Operations Officer and Training and Development Officer, is responsible for the deployment and branch training of system upgrades, user platform management and compliance requirements.
5. Assists Lead Bankers, Personal Bankers and Tellers during busy periods or when staff is on vacation and/or absent from work.
6. Assists Lead Bankers, Personal Bankers and Tellers with difficult transactions and sensitive customer situations, conferring with VP Operations Officer only when necessary.
7. Assists Lead Bankers, Personal Bankers and Tellers having difficulty in balancing, preparing daily balance summaries and correcting entries to reconcile teller errors.
8. Assists VP Operations Officer with the implementation of the Security Policy, testing the operation of cameras and alarms on a monthly basis. This includes checking and maintaining security monitoring system.
9. Manage branch TCM Credit Card approval process, providing additional documentation needed for approval or approving starter cards. Work with appropriate bank staff for bank backed credit card approvals.
10. Active member of Deposit Committee, making suggestions for system, account and service charge changes/improvements.
11. Oversee referrals for merchant credit card processing program and serves as liaison between the merchant and program provider.
12. Make suggestions for improvements within deposit operations to the VP Operations Officer.
13. Assists in all other areas as assigned and requested by VP Operations Officer and Bank Management.

- Position requires a thorough knowledge of some specialized area in banking and a working knowledge of other related areas or functions. This can be achieved by completion of a two-year degree or completion of related banking courses.
- Experience required by position is from over two (2) years through five (5) full years employment with the Bank or with companies in related positions.

Pay: $58,600.00 - $75,000.00 per year
