CABVI is looking for a Base Supply Center (BSC) Store Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the Base Supply Center (BSC) store and promote the marketing of BSCExpress.com (e-commerce site), while setting, meeting and maintaining performance goals.
KEY JOB ELEMENTS
Continually encourages sales through product display designs and signage, sales calls to on- and off-base organizations, and by developing and maintaining beneficial professional relationships with Base leadership and personnel.
Identifies new products by interacting with customers/end users and monitors store competiveness with the local community.
Receives inbound stock, noting correctness and condition; maintains proper inventory levels.
Supervises store employees.
Works closely with customers to ensure customer satisfaction, successfully solving problems as they arise.
Provides daily operational information to CABVI point of contacts.
Ensures store is kept clean and inviting to customers; ensures security of store and inventory; monitors use of CABVI equipment (i.e. vehicles, computers).
Monitors sales figures to ensure goals are met.
Adapts to change and completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Consistently achieves annual performance objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides supervision in accordance with CABVI policies and applicable employment laws. Assigns and directs work; schedules and trains; evaluates employees. Must quickly address complaints and resolve problems.
Communication Skills
Must be skillful in presenting information and responding to questions from vendors, customers, and CABVI employees. Must write effective objectives and reports. Must have good listening skills and ability to effectively communicate during difficult situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Regularly required to stand and walk. Frequently required to speak and hear. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crawl. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. Regularly must move or lift up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the key job elements.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
In house position with occasional travel. Noise level is moderate to loud. Must be available for weekend or evening work dependent upon customer needs.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree with a minimum three years experience in retail, preferably with military sales experience.
RATE OF PAY – $48,000 annually
