What are the responsibilities and job description for the Be Mighty Summer VISTA position at Central Arkansas Library System?
We are currently recruiting Be Mighty VISTA Summer Associates for Children's, Main, Dee Brown, McMath, and Nixon branches (seasonal/ 30 hrs per week). The deadline to apply is 04/14 for a service term of 05/22 - 07/30. Be Mighty Little Rock is a citywide anti-hunger campaign with a mission to reduce food insecurity. Be Mighty connects kids and teens to USDA meals and provides opportunities for nutrition education and resources for the whole family. Be Mighty VISTA Summer Associates will support these efforts by serving USDA meals; connecting patrons with information and local resources; promoting and distributing food security screenings; creating content and preparing grab & go activity kits; and assisting in CALS teaching gardens. Benefits include a bi-weekly living allowance in the amount of $675 per week, limited leave and the choice between an end-of-service summer award stipend that is pro-rated based on the days worked or an education award of $1,459.26.
