Join our amazing team in the Obstetrics and Women's Clinic as a Surgery Scheduling Assistant. This is a full-time position, working 80 hours every two weeks, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Job Summary:
The Surgery Scheduling Assistant works as part of a team with Nursing, Patient Access and Providers to serve the needs of patients and customers politely and efficiently. This person schedules all surgical procedures performed at St Cloud Hospital, and CentraCare Heath Plaza Surgical Center. Schedules pre-op and post-op appointments as needed for surgical cases. This may include surgical procedures scheduled in our Outreach Sites that are performed by the Obstetric and Women’s Clinic Physicians. A high level of detail and accuracy are required.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Previous Clinic experience preferred.
- Possess the ability to understand patient medical records, provider orders and communicate with patients, clinic staff and hospital staff.
