The IS Privacy Specialist role involves auditing Information Systems users by reviewing their access and activity across various applications, system audit logs, audit trails, and related reports. In addition to auditing, the specialist is responsible for conducting user and system audits, with a focus on platforms like Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Splunk, and ServiceNow.
Schedule:
- Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks | Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm | This position will work remotely.
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay is $20.45 an hour, pay determined by experience.

Qualifications:
- Associate degree in related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- One year operational or related application experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in Information Technology or electronic health record software is preferred.
- One year electronic medical record (EMR) experience is preferred.
- Must be able to pass written proficiency and competency testing after one year of hire.
- Working knowledge of various audit monitoring tools and HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules.
- Knowledge and experience in medical records, medical terminology, patient privacy and confidentiality, information technology and understanding of policies related to information security, patient privacy, and User Agreement guidelines.
- Experience in working with Microsoft Office software products in day-to-day operations.
- Evaluate and report on audit findings with accuracy.
- Ability to audit efficiently in order to meet deadlines.
