What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Unit Coordinator | Surgical Care Unit position at CentraCare?
As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) for the Surgical Care Unit, you serve a vital role in being the communication link for the unit. Responsibilities will include greeting and assisting patients/families, guests, and providers as well as managing telephone communications, organizing and maintaining patient charts, and performing clerical and receptionist duties to support patient care.
Schedule
- Part-time | 48 hours every two weeks | Onsite
- Day shift | 12-hour shifts | 7:00am-7:30pm
- Every 3rd weekend (Fri-Sun) | rotating holidays
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay begins at $19.91 per hour and increases with experience
- Pay range: $19.91 - $29.87 per hour

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent experience/knowledge required.
- One year experience with office procedures and equipment with computer experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Strong customer service skills
