Job Summary
Centra Funding is seeking a results-driven Director of Syndication to serve as a liaison between our sales team and our network of lenders. This role required strong credit background and previous experience with a small-ticket equipment financing company. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and critical thinker.
You will develop and maintain productive relationships with internal teams—including Credit, Documentation, Accounting, Customer Service, Funding, and Legal—to ensure timely and accurate funding of transactions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact to get transactions funded, working with lenders to highlight transaction value and collaborating with Sales, Accounting, Credit, Legal, Vendors, and customers to close deals.
- Maintain and grow relationships with capital market partners.
- Analyze and understand credit parameters for each partner.
- Review and interpret financial statements, personal financial statements, tax returns, and related documents to match transactions with the appropriate lenders.
- Interpret PayNet, Experian, D&B, and TLO reports.
- Use TValue for transaction analysis and pricing.
- Distribute deals to lenders based on their credit criteria and monitor review progress.
- Communicate transaction details to capital market partners and update Salesforce.
- Gather and transmit additional information requested by partners from sales representatives.
- Generate reporting for the Syndication business unit.
- Keep Centra Funding sales staff informed on deal status, pricing, and funding requirements.
- Request tax information as needed and assist with documentation generation.
- Maintain open lines of communication to provide lenders, sales, and syndication team members with timely status updates.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 years of small-ticket equipment finance experience
- Skilled at quickly evaluating a potential transaction and identifying appropriate lenders with highest change and approval and best structure for customer
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven team collaboration and results-driven mindset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Salesforce
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify inconsistencies with minimal direction
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with customers and colleagues
