Quality Assurance Lab Technician 2nd shift 3pm - 11pm
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Lab Technician measures start-up and shutdown rounds, performs internal audits and tests according to customer/stock specifications. Will support the entire production facility as needed and necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Implement policies and procedures of the Quality Assurance Department for continuous improvement.
Conduct both qualitative and quantitative functions for: o Incoming manufactured material inspections o Internal audits
Test finish product
Dimensional measurement of molded items
Documentation control - GDP (Good Documentation Practices)
Compile and summarize data for analysis
Create, review and approve paperwork in accordance to quality checks/inspections per the Control Plan.
Implements customer required quality requirements by performing specified quality checks/inspections per the Control Plan.
Uses mechanical and electronic measuring and test equipment in daily activities.
Collects data and completes the necessary forms/records as required.
Actively communicates with coworkers – key items within the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement.
Follows work instructions as needed and may be asked to write, revise and train others to those instructions.
Performs root cause analysis when problems arise to determine if actions can be taken immediately or appropriate personnel need to be called.
Maintains 5S environment in work area.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
