Your Responsibilities

1. Establishment of CENTOGENE Canada (Entity Launch)


  • Lead the full formation of the new CENTOGENE Canadian entity, including legal incorporation, financial setup, licensing, and regulatory adherence.
  • Create operations from scratch, including workflows, vendor management, contracting, quality systems, and compliance processes.
  • Align closely with global Legal, Finance, HR, Regulatory, Quality, and Operations teams.
2. Full P&L Ownership
  • Own all financial and commercial outcomes for the Canadian business.
  • Develop annual operating plans, revenue forecasts, and profitability targets.
  • Optimize cost structure and make decisive, data-driven financial and strategic decisions.
3. Commercial Strategy & Market Expansion
  • Develop and execute a strong Canada-wide strategy across IVF, diagnostics, and pharma.
  • Drive aggressive market penetration and gain significant market share from incumbent players.
  • Lead customer segmentation, pricing, competitive positioning, and partnership models.
4. IVF & Reproductive Genetics
  • Expand utilization of CENTOGENE’s carrier screening, pre-conception testing, and other reproductive genetics services across fertility clinics.
  • Build and manage senior relationships with IVF clinic leadership, reproductive endocrinologists, embryologists, and genetic counselors.
  • Position CENTOGENE as a trusted partner delivering high-quality reproductive genomic insights.
5. Diagnostics
  • Drive adoption of CENTOGENE’s full diagnostic portfolio for all genetically related conditions, supporting clinicians in precision medicine decision-making.
  • Expand relationships with genetics clinics, pediatric and adult specialists, neurologists, metabolic centers, cardiologists, oncologists, and other genetic-driven clinical specialties.
  • Position CENTOGENE as a partner across the spectrum of genomic diagnostics, supporting early diagnosis, disease management, and precision treatment pathways.
  • Navigate provincial differences in healthcare systems, reimbursement environments, and regulatory pathways relevant to diagnostic testing.
6. Biopharma Services
  • Identify and deliver commercial opportunities with pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
  • Support patient identification, biomarker programs, and real-world data initiatives.
  • Partner with global teams to execute sponsored clinical research and precision medicine projects in Canada.
7. Hiring, Training & Leadership
  • Build and lead the Canadian team, including commercial, operations, and support roles.
  • Provide training, development, and ongoing performance management.
  • Create a culture of accountability, scientific rigor, and customer excellence.
8. Operational Leadership
  • Oversee logistics, laboratory workflow coordination, service delivery, and quality control in Canada.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian data privacy, healthcare, and laboratory regulatory standards.
  • Implement best-in-class processes for turnaround times, customer communication, and client experience.
9. Representation & Strategic Partnerships
  • Serve as CENTOGENE’s senior representative across Canada’s healthcare, IVF, diagnostics, and biopharma communities.
  • Build relationships with key opinion leaders, provincial authorities, academic centers, and patient advocacy groups.
  • Represent CENTOGENE at major scientific, clinical, and industry events.
10. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with global Commercial, Medical, Operations, Marketing, Quality, and Finance teams.
  • Provide Canadian market insights to guide global strategy and product development.
  • Ensure alignment between Canadian and global priorities.

Your profile

Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Genetics, Medicine, or Business required.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, PhD, MD) preferred.
Experience
  • 10 years in senior leadership roles in IVF, diagnostics, genomics, biotech, or pharma.
  • Demonstrated experience building new entities or country organizations from the ground up.
  • Proven ability to gain market share in competitive diagnostic or IVF markets.
  • Strong track record with P&L ownership and revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of the Canadian healthcare, IVF, and genomics ecosystem.
  • Experience leading teams within global, matrixed environments.
Skills & Competencies
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong operational builder, and commercial strategist.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to influence at senior levels and operate autonomously in complex environments.
  • Strong analytical and scientific literacy, especially in genomics and precision medicine.
  • Fluency in English required; French is an asset.
