Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Lifeguard at the Marshall Recreation Center, located in Huntington, WV. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by monitoring activities, preventing accidents, and responding to emergencies. Additional duties include enforcing facility rules, inspecting equipment for potential safety hazards, and maintaining a clean and safe aquatic environment. You will also provide exceptional customer service to all participants and assist with pool maintenance tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong swimming ability and water rescue skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures, emergency response, and basic first aid
- Certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, and AED required (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- Ability to stay vigilant, communicate effectively, and work with diverse populations
- Prior lifeguard experience is a plus but not required
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
