Diesel Technician

Constellis is seeking experienced Diesel Technicians to support the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of a diverse fleet of automotive and heavy equipment. This role is ideal for a hands‑on technician who enjoys solving complex mechanical challenges and working across a wide range of diesel and gas‑powered equipment in a mission‑critical environment.
- Perform skilled repair and maintenance on gasoline and diesel vehicles and heavy equipment, including fire apparatus, loaders, cranes, crawlers, bucket trucks, pavers, rollers, sweepers, and more
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems
- Disassemble components and inspect parts for wear, failure, or replacement needs
- Repair, rebuild, or replace engines, pumps, compressors, radiators, fuel systems, and AC components
- Replace bearings, axle seals, brake master cylinders, and resurface brake drums and rotors
- Rewire electrical systems and troubleshoot complex electrical issues
- Replace, realign, and adjust brakes and suspension components
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections, including fluid changes, lighting and electrical checks, and exhaust system repairs
- Repair and maintain hydraulic systems, including routing and replacing lines and checking for leaks
- Support additional duties and projects as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or Technical training in automotive and diesel repair
- 3–5 years of experience repairing automotive and heavy equipment (or equivalent education/experience)
- Valid California Driver’s License
- CDL Class A or B (preferred)
- ASE T4 Certification (preferred)
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage time effectively while juggling multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding role, including lifting up to 75 lbs, standing, walking, bending, stretching, and squatting throughout the day
- Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced, operational environment
- Hourly Pay Range: $28.00 – $45.00
