Lower School Teacher

Center School is seeking a passionate and energetic Lower School Teacher to inspire and nurture students in grades 1 through 3. The Lower School 1st-3rd grade teacher works to design engaging lessons in all content areas, excluding math instruction. This professional designs literacy lessons that focus on multisensory language instruction, reading strategy and skill development, vocabulary development, and writing. Creativity is embraced and encouraged as teachers are given opportunities to exercise professional judgment and customize the curriculum. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to supporting early childhood development, implementing engaging lesson plans, and cultivating a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes social-emotional growth and academic achievement. Experience At least two years of experience in teaching elementary aged students, preferably with learning disabilities. A valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Elementary or Early Childhood Education is required, preferably with a Reading Specialist certification. A Wilson certification is preferred.
