The Housekeeper at The Center is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for Employees and Clients. This role involves regular cleaning of individual Clients rooms, community bathrooms, common areas, Employee restrooms, meeting rooms and common areas in the building to ensure a hygienic atmosphere. The Housekeeper will perform detailed cleaning during Client transitions and assist in general upkeep to support the well-being of Employees and Clients.

Room Maintenance: Clean and sanitize individual Client rooms regularly, including dusting, mopping, and maintaining cleanliness and order.

Community Bathrooms: Ensure community bathrooms are cleaned and restocked with essential supplies, performing deep cleaning on a regular schedule or as needed.

Common Areas: Keep common areas, such as Client gathering areas, laundry area, meeting rooms and hallways, tidy and presentable. Regularly clean surfaces, furniture, and appliances.

Detail Cleaning: Conduct thorough cleaning projects when Clients exit the facility, including changing bedding, sanitizing mattresses, deep cleaning floors, and disinfecting all surfaces and other necessary items that require cleaning. Conduct thorough cleaning of Employee Areas(office space, common areas, restrooms and meeting rooms) as needed.

Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety protocols, using appropriate cleaning agents and ensuring proper disposal of waste.

Inventory Management: Monitor and report inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that items are stocked and readily available.

Collaboration: Work closely with Shelter Staff/ Leadership and The Center’s Facilities Leadership to address any cleanliness issues and contribute to a positive atmosphere for Employees and Clients.

Co-Worker and Client Interaction: Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor when interacting with Co-Workers and Clients, maintaining and respecting boundaries, providing assistance as needed to foster a supportive environment.
