SUMMARY
The Therapists within CTL’s Clinical Counseling Services work side-by-side with women and their children throughout Tarrant County to disrupt the cycle of poverty by providing comprehensive clinical counseling services. Duties include ensuring Clinical Counseling Services are delivered consistently with program design, including the Cycles of Well-being, Trauma-Informed Care core principles, a two- generation approach, and contract requirements. The Therapist is responsible for providing high-quality therapeutic approaches utilizing a range of modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, or other evidence-based modalities that are proven effective in serving trauma. The Therapist may also act as a resource in training and consulting with CTL employees and partner agencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Build safe, trusting relationships, and exercise appropriate boundaries and interactions with program participants.
· Demonstrate deep understanding of trauma and the impact on adults and children as evidenced by application of trauma-informed (i.e., safety, trustworthiness, collaboration, empowerment, cultural competence), two-generation approach care principles through the provision of clinical services and decision making.
· Provide intensive, culturally responsive, individualized, strength-based, therapeutic services by implementing a trauma-informed, two-generation approach.
· Attend and actively participate in trauma-focused clinical consultation and individual and group supervision. Apply suggested trauma-informed strategies and interventions consistently.
· Promote and support cross-collaboration with internal and external programs and services to ensure women and their children are referred and linked to need-driven supportive services.
· Review assessment activities used to identify strengths and needs and complete trauma screenings in adherence to related program Policies and Procedures. Compile into a trauma-informed, strength- based, individualized plan of care. Utilize internal mechanisms to track timely completion of referrals, screening activities, and re-evaluations.
· Ensure program participant progress is regularly monitored, including discharge readiness; identification of unmet needs; and mental health-focused interventions through Multidisciplinary Team Meetings (MDT). Participate in other consultations to represent the clinical needs of the program participant, as needed.
· Prepare, document, and maintain all therapeutic notes, records, reports, data, forms, and other necessary clinical documentation, promptly. All documentation must meet the required standards set by best practice standards and federal and state regulations/rules.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Master’s degree from an accredited university or college with a major in counseling, social work, or psychology; and one of the following clinical licensures: LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMFT- Associate, LPC, LPC-Associate licensure with clinical experience providing trauma-informed clinical services to adults and/or children.

· Excellent writing and oral communication skills, including effectively articulating the CTL mission, vision, and message.
· Demonstrate strong, creative, strategic, and analytical thinking skills. Demonstrate a commitment to working well with others.
· Approach women and children served in a non-judgmental, compassionate, strength-based, trauma- informed manner to effectively build an alliance. Understand and show compassion as well as maintain professional therapeutic boundaries. Deal with sensitive situations in a non-threatening, professional, and supportive manner; show initiative to see what needs to be done and willingness to do it; strong work ethic.
· Demonstrate knowledge of Windows operating systems and Office products.
· Travel independently and timely for work purposes.
