Position DescriptionThe Center for Success Network Literacy Program Specialist will support in providing an in person 5 week summer program for 30 elementary students including math, literacy, meals, enrichment, and field trips.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Program Implementation and Management:
- Provide in person summer programming Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4PM, July 6 - August 7, 2026
- Deliver math and/or literacy lessons to students
- Plan, deliver, and oversee enrichment activities and/or enrichment partnerships
- Foster a sense of belonging and community for all students, recognizing and addressing systemic barriers that may hinder some students' access to academic and social-emotional growth.
- Center racial equity and inclusion in all teaching practices and decision-making processes.
- Bring practical solutions to issues of equity and inclusion in classrooms, and continuously evaluate and improve teaching strategies to ensure that all students have equal access to learning opportunities.
- Monitor and support students to facilitate strong relationships
- Develop and maintain positive, connected, solution oriented relationships with caregivers, students, and mentors
Data Collection:
- Oversee program evaluation and data collection, including surveys and other feedback mechanisms while working with the Literacy Programs Associate and Manager to help develop strategies to support program sustainability.
- Ensure accurate attendance and academic database records of students by given deadlines.
Organization and Program Success
- Work collaboratively with partner organizations to ensure seamless collaboration, provide and encourage spaces for problem solving as needed
- Share stories and support in telling the CFSN story
- Consistently meet CFSN objectives and goals
Timing
Training and Onboarding prior to July 6: 10 hours
July 6 - August 7: 40 hours weekly, M-F, 8AM - 4PM
Compensation
$18-$20/hour or commensurate with experience and education. No benefits currently offered for temporary full time
