JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Program Manager is responsible for supporting the overall administration of the Short-term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). The Assistant Program Manager ensures that mental health program staff provide intensive care; including individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, substance abuse treatment, rehabilitative support, case management and medication support services.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
A qualified candidate must be registered with the state of California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and meet requirements for one (1) or more of the following. Management/supervisory experience is preferred.
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) AND at least three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in a residential treatment facility or outpatient mental health program with children, youth, and families.
OR
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) AND at least three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in a residential treatment facility or outpatient mental health program with children, youth, and families.
OR
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) AND at least three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in a residential treatment facility or outpatient mental health program with children, youth, and families.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION:
California licensure as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC
SPECIALIZED SKILLS
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with seriously emotionally disturbed children, involved families, and other stakeholders of treatment.
- Demonstrated understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment.
- Knowledge and experience in working with diverse consumers, communities, and staff.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of community services and county agencies.
- Trained in Motivational Interviewing.
- Trained in Trauma-Informed Care.
- Working knowledge of county-contracted Medi-Cal and MHSA programs, EPSDT, and SmartCare EHR.
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to take initiative, work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize tasks and successfully bring them to fruition.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (staff, colleagues and clients), including tact, diplomacy, patience and professionalism in dealing with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
- Ability to ensure strict adherence to personnel policies and procedures, maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive or proprietary information or materials, and maintain professional and ethical integrity.
- Possess skills in programmatic strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Must demonstrate moderate level of computer literacy and experience using office productivity software (i.e., Word, Excel, Gmail, Google Suite, Outlook).
- Will not be debarred or excluded from participation in federal programs by the General Services Administration, the Department of Health and Human Services of the Inspector General, or any California Medi-Cal Programs.
- Must have TB clearance and provide an individual NPI number.
Salary : $84,000 - $89,000
